Marvel Studios has unveiled a new poster for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, putting Doctor Doom front and centre while offering another glimpse at three mysterious Latverian witches standing behind him.
The poster was revealed during San Diego Comic-Con Málaga in Spain, where Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke and David Harbour also appeared. Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom dominates the artwork, but the three masked figures have become the main talking point among fans.
The identities of the witches remain unconfirmed, with several theories circulating. Some fans believe the red-robed figure could be Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff, while the green-robed character may be Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie.
The purple-robed witch has prompted speculation over whether she could be Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness or Charlize Theron’s Clea.
All three theories remain unverified, and the characters could simply be Doom’s followers.
Meanwhile, Mackie teased the film’s scale, saying audiences would see “a lot of doom” and that the Russo brothers have ensured the large ensemble gets meaningful moments.
‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is set to arrive in December.
