Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) President Mohammad Hatem met Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider at the BKMEA office in Dhaka on Sunday to discuss strengthening bilateral trade and commercial cooperation.

Several BKMEA directors were also present at the meeting, according to a press release.

The discussions focused on implementing activities under the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between BKMEA and the Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PHMA), including plans to organise joint business-to-business meetings.

BKMEA president also invited Pakistani companies to participate in the Bangladesh International Textile, Knitting and Garment Industry Exhibition, scheduled to be held in Dhaka in January 2027.

He said participation by Pakistani companies could help deepen supply-chain linkages and business cooperation between the two countries.

High Commissioner Imran Haider assured Hatem of all possible cooperation to promote bilateral trade and commercial collaboration.
