The Bangladesh Embassy in Ireland has officially begun its operation.

According to a press release issued on Thursday, the Embassy has started its administrative functions at a temporary Chancery Office located at Alexandra House in the Ballsbridge diplomatic area of Dublin city.

Newly appointed Ambassador of Bangladesh to Ireland Mohammed Nore Alam joined the Mission on Thursday. He is expected to submit his credentials to the President of Ireland soon.

Around 25,000 expatriate Bangladeshi are currently living in Ireland. The Embassy will begin passport, visa, and other consular services at a later date.
