Four people have been arrested in connection with the attack and vandalism at the Radda MCH‑FP Centre in Mirpur‑1, Dhaka.

Shah Ali Police Station Officer‑in‑charge Jahangir Alam said the accused admitted to carrying out the attack for money.

The accused have been sent to court, he added.

A case was filed on Friday with the police station against 400 to 500 unidentified individuals.

Earlier on Thursday midnight, the attackers vandalised, looted, and demolished the entire establishment of the centre.

According to the organisation, more than 250 masked individuals wearing red cloths tied around their heads raided the facility midnight Thursday armed with local weapons.

The attackers held two security guards hostage before looting valuable clinic equipment, medicines, vaccines, refrigerators, air conditioners, cash, and other goods, and breaking down the structures.

The organisation claimed that the incident caused a loss of approximately Tk1.5 crore.
