Milestone College in Dhaka held an orientation class on 24 September for students newly admitted to Class XI for the 2026-27 academic session, in line with directives from the Ministry of Education, the college said in a press release. Regular classes for the new intake began the same day, as institutions across the country marked the start of the higher secondary academic year.
The Milestone College campus was decorated for the occasion and filled with new students beginning their higher secondary studies, the release said. Vice-Principal Professor Zahirul Haque and Vice-Principal (Administration) Md Masud Alam welcomed the students with flowers as part of the reception.
Founder and Advisor of Milestone College, Colonel Nurun Nabi (retd), addressed the gathering, offering guidance to students starting a new phase of their education. He told the students that Class XI marked a new stage in their studies and a pivotal period that would help shape their future path.
Colonel Nurun Nabi said the day represented the start of a journey towards a successful future, adding that Milestone College would stand by the students as a guide throughout that journey. He said the institution not only inspired students to dream but also equipped them with the means to turn those dreams into reality.
