The Bangladesh Crime Reporters Association (CRAB) has strongly condemned the filing of a case against its former president and TIMES of Bangladesh senior reporter Kamruzzaman Khan.
In a joint statement, CRAB President Mirza Mehdi Tamal and General Secretary MM Badshah expressed concern, saying the case was lodged without investigation and reflected police negligence. They described the move as harassment of a journalist and demanded its immediate withdrawal.
The leaders added that the First Information Report does not clarify what evidence links Kamruzzaman to the incident.
