Seven police officers have been assigned to new roles across various districts and specialized units.
The transfers, covering officers in the ranks of additional superintendent of police and assistant commissioner, were issued on Wednesday through an official notification signed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Ali Hossain Fakir.
Under the order, Additional Superintendent of Police Md Abdullah Al Mamun, who is currently working in Manikganj, has been posted to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) as additional deputy commissioner.
Special Branch (SB) Additional Superintendent of Police Md Jakirul Hasan has been transferred as additional superintendent of police in Barishal.
Meanwhile, Police Headquarters Additional Superintendent of Police Imran Ashraf has been posted to SB as additional superintendent of police.
Police Headquarters Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Fayez Uddin has been appointed as additional superintendent of police of the Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU).
In another transfer, SB Additional Superintendent of Police Md Mominul Haque has been posted as additional superintendent of police for Kotchandpur Circle in Jhenaidah.
Additional Superintendent of Police for Ulipur Circle in Kurigram, Md Ashraful Alam, has been transferred to SB as additional superintendent of police.
Meanwhile, Barishal Assistant Commissioner Sumanta Majumder has been moved to Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) as assistant commissioner.
The directive specifies that all transferred officers must hand over their current responsibilities by 3 October. Failure to do so will result in them being automatically released (stand-released) effective 4 October.
