The three-day international tourism fair, Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) 2026, is scheduled to commence in Dhaka on 29 October, with participation from more than 20 countries.
The event, which runs until 31 October, will take place at Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre (BCFCC) in the capital.
Organised by Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB), the apex body of the country’s tourism industry, the fair aims to develop the tourism sector, generate new business opportunities, and strengthen regional and international co-operation.
According to the organisers, this year’s fair will feature over 200 booths and stalls, hosting more than 220 exhibitors, 250 qualified buyers, and over 2,500 trade visitors. The event is expected to draw over 60,000 visitors.
Four themed exhibition halls will house more than 200 organisations, including airlines, hotels, and tour operators, providing local and international participants with a platform to showcase their products, services, and tourist destinations.
Participation from Nepal, India, Singapore, Maldives, and the Philippines has already been confirmed.
Additionally, tourism organisations, tour operators, and travel agencies from various other nations, including Turkey, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), China, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Thailand, Brunei, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Azerbaijan, are set to take part.
Organisers noted that the involvement of international tourism partners will boost the promotion of diverse travel destinations, foster business networking, and expand the scope of collaboration between local and global markets.
The event is being supported by Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Ministry of Cultural Affairs, National Skills Development Authority (NSDA), Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, Bangladesh Tourism Board, Bangladesh Tourist Police, and Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI).
Having successfully held over 13 editions, BTTF has established itself as one of South Asia’s key tourism marketplaces.
By bringing buyers and sellers onto a single platform, the fair plays a crucial role in unlocking new business avenues and promoting regional and international tourism co-operation.
Organisers expect BTTF 2026 to further promote Bangladesh’s tourist destinations globally, cultivate new commercial ties, and strengthen the country’s standing in the global tourism arena.
