BRAC Bank PLC has signed an agreement with Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) to enable digital payment of city corporation fees and taxes through the bank’s digital channels, the bank said in a press release on Wednesday.
The agreement was signed at Nagar Bhaban on September 2, 2026, by Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, Managing Director & CEO of BRAC Bank, and Md Khaybar Rahman, CEO of DSCC, on behalf of their respective organisations. The partnership will allow Dhaka residents to pay trade licence and renewal fees, holding tax and property transfer tax through BRAC Bank.
The initiative aims to make DSCC payments more accessible, seamless and convenient for residents across the city. As part of the next phase of the collaboration, BRAC Bank plans to establish API connectivity with DSCC, enabling digital payment of these fees and taxes through the bank’s digital platforms.
Commenting on the collaboration, Tareq Refat Ullah Khan said the bank was committed to making everyday banking simpler and more convenient. He said the partnership with DSCC would make city corporation fee and tax payments more accessible and seamless for Dhaka residents through digital channels.
“We will continue to form partnerships with more government and private enterprises to enable seamless digital payments for our valued customers,” Khan said.
