US President Donald Trump has thanked Prime Minister Tarique Rahman for deciding to purchase Boeing aircraft, reassuring him that the company “will not let Bangladesh down”.
In a letter sent to the prime minister on Monday, Trump acknowledged receipt of Tarique’s correspondence regarding the aircraft order and expressed his appreciation for the decision.
“I just received your letter concerning the purchase of Boeing Aircraft, and very much appreciate your decision of purchase. Boeing will not let you down, and I will not forget,” Trump wrote.
He also thanked the prime minister for his attention to the matter, adding that he looked forward to meeting Tarique “in the not too distant future”.
Conveying his warm regards to the people of Bangladesh, Trump noted that the country had “been through much”, whilst expressing confidence that Bangladesh and its citizens would enjoy a “very bright future” under Tarique Rahman’s leadership.

“Please give my warmest regards and love to the people of Bangladesh. They have been through much, but under your leadership, I feel certain that they, and your Country itself, will have a very bright future!” Trump wrote.
