New Age Editor Nurul Kabir has expressed hope that TIMES of Bangladesh will play a role in the democratic transformation of society and the state through objective journalism and sharp analysis.
He was speaking on Monday evening at a programme organised at the Dhaka Club in the capital to celebrate the anniversary of TIMES of Bangladesh.
Describing the newspaper’s Editor, Abul Kalam Azad, as his former favourite colleague and a “fantastic reporter,” Kabir said, “He has qualities that are enviable.”

“I believe that under his leadership, a new newspaper will do very well,” Kabir added.
Expressing his expectation that TIMES of Bangladesh will maintain objectivity and sharp analysis, he said such journalism would assist in the democratic transformation of society and the state.
Kabir concluded his speech by conveying his congratulations and best wishes on the newspaper’s first anniversary.
