NCC Bank PLC has donated a modern ambulance equipped with medical equipment to Zia Heart Foundation in Dinajpur as part of its ‘social responsibility initiatives,’ said a press release on Sunday.
The ambulance was handed over at an event at the Secretariat in Dhaka, attended by Women and Children Affairs and Social Welfare Minister AZM Zahid Hossain and State Minister Farzana Sharmin.
NCC Bank Chairman Nurun Newaz Selim handed over the keys to Zia Heart Foundation General Secretary AKM Azad.
Social Welfare Secretary Abu Yusuf, NCC Bank Vice-Chairman Abdus Salam, Director Khairul Alam Chakladar, Managing Director M Shamsul Arefin, Deputy Managing Director Zakir Anam, and foundation board members Khalequzzaman Babu, Anwarul Kabir, Professor Shah Alam Ashrafi, CEO Syed Mejbah Alam, and Assistant Officer Rafiqul Islam were present.
The minister praised the bank’s initiative and said private sector participation alongside government efforts is essential for healthcare development.
