The Bandarban district administration has opened more areas in Thanchi and Ruma for tourists as the security situation has improved.
Under the new arrangement, tourists can now travel by road from Toma Tungi in Thanchi to the 24-kilometre TOB area.
River travel has also been opened from Tindumukh to Ngaphamukh.
In Ruma, tourists can travel from the Keokradong peak to Sungsungpara.
The Rijuk Waterfall has also been reopened, allowing visitors to reach the spot by river.
The decision was announced in a press release signed by Bandarban Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Saniul Ferdous.
According to the release, the previously restricted areas were reopened following a unanimous decision at a meeting of the district law and order committee on 11 August.
However, tourists must strictly comply with all existing security-related restrictions, rules and instructions while travelling along the designated routes and visiting the reopened spots, the release said.
