MA Kashem has been re-elected Chairman of Southeast Bank PLC, following a unanimous decision at the bank’s 796th Board Meeting held on Sunday.
Kashem is the Founder Chairman and Sponsor Director of Southeast Bank. He is a member and former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of North South University and a former President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
An industrialist, philanthropist and patron of education, Kashem has received the President Export Trophy Award, CR Das Gold Medal, Highest Tax Payer award and the Abu Rushd Memorial Award for promoting higher education.
He has established the M Kashem Trust to support education and a 20-bed general hospital named Tareque Memorial-Ibrahim General Hospital in his home upazila of Chhagalnaiya, Feni, said a press release.
