The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has implemented stringent security measures across the country ahead of “July Mass Uprising Day 2026” to be observed 5 August.
The elite force has intensified its security protocols to thwart potential sabotage by extremist groups, banned organisations, and anti-state elements.
According to a special press release issued by RAB Headquarters on Tuesday, the force is working in close coordination with other law enforcement agencies, intelligence wings, and local administrations.
The release stated that every RAB battalion has formulated individual security plans after assessing potential threats within their respective jurisdictions.
Intelligence activities have been ramped up, and informants have been deployed to gather advance information.
Special security arrangements have been in place since the night of 4 August, covering event venues, scheduled routes for road marches and processions, and July monuments.
Alongside uniformed personnel, there is a heightened presence of plainclothes intelligence officers monitoring these areas.
Strict surveillance at event venues and July monuments across all districts was initiated seven days prior to the occasion. To combat the spread of rumours and propaganda on social media, RAB has also intensified its cyber patrolling.
The force reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety of all citizens, preventing criminal activities, and bringing offenders to justice during the observance of July Mass Uprising Day.
