Agrani Bank PLC recovered Tk30.01 lakh in cash from classified loans involving three customers and disbursed Tk2.31 crore in SME loans at a business conference in Cumilla on Saturday, the bank said in a press release.
The conference, held on 11 July to advance the bank’s 2026 business plans and strengthen loan recovery activities, was attended by Managing Director Md Anwarul Islam as chief guest. Deputy Managing Director Md Abul Bashar was the special guest, while Cumilla Circle General Manager Md Ikhtiar Uddin chaired the event.
Regional heads, corporate branch heads, branch managers under the Cumilla Circle and customers attended the conference.
Anwarul Islam emphasised achieving the bank’s 2026 business targets, mobilising deposits, recovering classified loans, attracting remittances and expanding SME loan disbursement at the grassroots level.
