Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC has signed a corporate agreement with Bangladesh Railway Co-operative Credit Society Limited.
Under the agreement, members of the Bangladesh Railway Co-operative Credit Society Limited will be able to maintain salary accounts with Islami Bank, make deposits into the society’s account, and conveniently repay instalments of loans obtained from the society through the bank.
The agreement was signed on Thursday, 25 June 2026, at Rail Bhaban in the capital. Bangladesh Railway Director General Engineer Md Afzal Hossain attended the ceremony as the chief guest.
On behalf of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, the agreement was signed by Additional Managing Director Dr M Kamal Uddin Jasim, while Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman, President of Bangladesh Railway Co-operative Credit Society Limited and Chief Operating Superintendent (West) of Bangladesh Railway, signed on behalf of the society.
Among others present at the ceremony were Executive Vice President Md Majnuzzaman and Assistant Vice President ANM Towhidul Islam from Islami Bank; Bangladesh Railway Assistant Director General FM Mohiuddin, Mohammad Nazmul Islam and Md Rafiqul Bari Khan; and Md Sakhawat Hossain, Secretary of Bangladesh Railway Co-operative Credit Society Limited, along with senior officials from both organisations.
