The remains of Bangladeshi doctoral student Zamil Limon, who was killed in Florida, US, will reach Dhaka at 8:40am on 4 May, officials said.
Golam Mortoza, press minister at the Bangladesh Embassy in Washington, confirmed the development in a Facebook post on Thursday.
He said Emirates flight EK0582 will depart Orlando at 8:50pm on 2 May, with a transit stop in Dubai before arriving in Dhaka.
Mortoza earlier announced that Limon’s first namaz‑e‑janaza will be held at 2pm on Thursday (30 April) at the Islamic Society of Tampa Bay Area, 7326 E Sligh Ave, Tampa, Florida.
On 24 April, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Limon’s death after he had been missing for eight days.
The University of South Florida (USF) PhD student was last seen on 16 April. His body was later recovered from beneath the Howard Frankland Bridge in Tampa.
Limon and fellow Bangladeshi doctoral student Nahida Sultana Bristy had both been reported missing on 16 April. While Limon’s remains have been identified, Bristy’s body has not yet been recovered.
