Walton’s electric bike brand Takyon has rolled out a nationwide “Super Saver Carnival”, offering discounts and promotional incentives as fuel shortages push consumers to consider alternative mobility options, the company said in a press release.
Under the campaign, customers are being offered discounts of up to Tk9,600 on Takyon electric bikes, while selected buyers will receive the opportunity to watch Argentina’s national football team play live at a stadium.
The company is also running free service campaigns and test ride programmes across the country, allowing existing users to service their bikes at no cost and purchase parts at discounted rates, while prospective customers can directly experience the products.
The offers are available at all Walton showrooms nationwide.
As part of the campaign, Walton has organised rallies and service drives across more than 70 locations covering all 64 districts, aimed at raising awareness about electric mobility and promoting details of the Super Saver Carnival and ongoing service initiatives.
Takyon electric bikes are designed for Bangladesh’s road and environmental conditions and are gaining traction among consumers due to their riding comfort and service support, according to the company.
The brand currently offers nine models in multiple colour variants.
Operating costs range between 10 and 20 paisa per kilometre depending on the model, with a driving range of 80 to 120 kilometres.
Key features include lead-graphene batteries, suspension systems, remote key access, digital dashboards, multiple speed modes and enhanced tyres, with capacity for two adult riders.
Takyon electric bikes, described as the first BRTA-approved models in Bangladesh, are priced between Tk78,750 and Tk1,83,000.
Customers can purchase the bikes either in cash or through instalment facilities at Walton showrooms and Takyon exclusive dealer outlets across the country.
