Banglalink has partnered with beauty-tech platform Romoni to help women service providers expand income opportunities through digital skills and financial inclusion, the telecom operator said on Monday.
The initiative will enable Romoni’s service providers to perform mobile recharges and sell digital services using their smartphones, creating an additional income stream alongside their existing work.
The agreement was signed at Banglalink headquarters in Dhaka, with senior officials from both organisations present.
Under the partnership, the women will use the Banglalink Power platform to sell recharge services and earn commissions, while gaining essential digital literacy and responsible usage skills to operate confidently in the digital marketplace.
The platform allows users to join through a digital know-your-customer process, track earnings in real time, and benefit from a transparent reward system without any setup cost.
The initiative is designed to offer a practical entry point into the digital economy for women already working within their communities, enabling them to diversify income sources through technology-driven services.
“Women like Romoni’s service providers are already doing meaningful work within their communities,” Banglalink Sales and Distribution Director Muhammad Mehedi Hasan said.
“What we want is to ensure they also have the digital skills and tools to grow further,” he added.
“Banglalink Power offers a real and accessible way to earn, while building the confidence needed to unlock new opportunities.”
Romoni CEO Armin Zaman Khan said the partnership will expand earning potential for the platform’s service providers.
“The Banglalink Power app provides the technology platform needed to expand their services and increase daily earnings,” he said.
“It is about equipping them with the right tools to unlock opportunities in the digital economy and strengthen financial independence.”
The initiative reflects Banglalink’s broader strategy to support women and micro-entrepreneurs in moving from basic digital awareness to active participation in the digital economy.
Banglalink Sales and Distribution Director Muhammad Mehedi Hasan, Deputy Director of Digital Recharge and Alternate Channel Md Khaledul Hasan, and Head of Digital Recharge Mohammad Tahmidur Rahman attended the event.
Romoni CEO Armin Zaman Khan and Assistant Manager for Marketing Nashiba Samarat were also present.
