Kaizer Sohel Ahmed has been appointed as the new Managing Director (MD) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines. The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday.
The notification stated that he has been appointed to the position for a period of one year from the date of joining.
The notification also said that for this appointment, he must relinquish any other profession, business, or employment relationship with any government or private institution. It further stated that other terms and conditions of the appointment will be determined by the main contract.
Signed by Deputy Secretary Md Golam Rabbani of the Ministry of Public Administration by order of the president, the notification said this order will take effect immediately in the public interest.
A copy of the notification has been sent to all concerned departments and individuals to confirm the matter.
Meanwhile, in a separate notification from the Ministry of Public Administration, Syed Moin Uddin Ahmed has been appointed as deputy managing director of Biman. He has been given this contractual appointment for a period of one year from the date of joining.
In another notification, Md Habib Ullah Manju has been given a contractual appointment as Director (Finance) of Biman.
