Citizens Bank PLC held its Quarterly Business Review Meeting on 4 April at its Head Office in Motijheel, Dhaka, to assess the first quarter of 2026 and devise strategies to address current business challenges.

The meeting, chaired by Alamgir Hossain, Managing Director of the Bank, reviewed the bank’s performance in the first quarter.

Key achievements were highlighted, and areas for improvement were identified. The discussion also examined macroeconomic conditions and their potential impact on the banking sector.

The session focused on adopting proactive measures to enhance risk management, improve operational efficiency, and navigate ongoing economic challenges. Participants were encouraged to implement actionable strategies to achieve business targets for the remainder of the year.

A special emphasis was placed on promoting growth in the SME, agriculture, and priority sectors, which are crucial to the country’s overall economic development.
