A court has granted bail to musician Mainul Ahsan Noble in a case filed over the embezzlement of over Tk13 lakh by enticing a woman with the promise of marriage.
The court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman granted his bail on Sunday afternoon after a hearing, on a bond of Tk5,000.
The accused’s lawyer, Md Emran Hossain, confirmed the matter and said Noble is a well-known singer. He claimed that Noble was framed through a “honey trap” and that other allegations brought against him are also false. The court was satisfied with the hearing and granted bail.
A woman named Anannya Shabnam Rose filed the case against the singer on 13 August 2025. The case statement alleges that Nobel developed a romantic relationship with Anannya Shabnam Rose and enticed her with the promise of marriage.
Taking advantage of this relationship, he took a total of Tk13,18,540 from the woman at various times from 25 August 2023 to June 2025. He then allegedly embezzled the money without returning it.
The court directed the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) to investigate the allegations. After completing the investigation, PBI Sub-Inspector Nuruzzaman submitted a report to the court on 7 January, stating that the complainant’s allegations had been found to be true.
Later, on 23 February, police from Demra Police Station arrested Nobel. That same day, the court rejected his bail application and ordered him sent to jail.
Earlier, Nobel was arrested on May 19, 2025, in another case filed at Demra Police Station over allegations of “rape and assault.” Later, five days after marrying the complainant in that case in jail, he was granted bail on 24 June.
