The Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) has reshuffled seven officials, including the officers-in-charge (OCs) of three police stations.
According to an official order issued on Wednesday, these officials have been transferred from their current posts and assigned new responsibilities for administrative purposes.
As per the order, Md Abdul Karim, the officer-in-charge of Panchlaish Police Station, has been transferred to Bayezid Bostami Police Station. Md Zahedul Kabir, the OC of Bayezid Police Station, has been moved to the CTSB (City Special Branch).
Police Inspector Md Arifur Rahman has been appointed as the officer-in-charge of Khulshi Police Station, while the current Khulshi OC, Md Zahedul Islam, has been posted as the officer-in-charge of Panchlaish Police Station.
In other changes, Police Inspector Mohammad Jamir Hossain Zia has been assigned to DB (Detective Branch) North, and Jasim Uddin has been posted to DB South. Additionally, Saifur Rahman, a Police Inspector (City and Transport), has been given the responsibility of TI (Traffic Inspector) at City Gate.
The CMP stated that these appointments and transfers were made to further strengthen the law and order situation in the city and to streamline operations. The order specifies that the officials concerned must join their new workplaces quickly, as the instructions are effective immediately.
