Bangladesh batting coach Mohammad Ashraful praised the wickets at Sher-e Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. Speaking on Wednesday, he said the improved surfaces played a big role in the team’s series wins over West Indies and Pakistan.
Ashraful said the pitches gave a fair chance to everyone. “For a long time, there was talk that sporting wickets were not possible in Mirpur,” he said. “But this time, pacers, spinners, and batters all got assistance.”
He also spoke about team selection. Bangladesh used the same playing eleven in all three matches. This has not happened often in recent times.
“That continuity is a very positive sign,” he said. “Every player is in good shape.”
Ashraful called the series very good overall. He said players who adjusted better got the rewards. He also said the batting unit performed strongly in two of the three matches.
