Smartphone brand realme has introduced a “1 hour service” initiative in Bangladesh, aiming to complete most device repairs within 60 minutes at its authorised service centres.
The company said the programme is designed to improve after-sales support and reduce waiting times for customers seeking repairs.
According to the company’s service performance data, about 97 per cent of customers visiting official realme service centres in Bangladesh receive their devices fully serviced within one hour.
The service duration is calculated from the time a device is submitted at the service desk until it is returned to the customer after repair.
realme said the initiative is supported by operational improvements including real-time service level agreement monitoring, better spare parts management, technical training for engineers and daily performance reviews to maintain service speed and quality.
“One-hour service is not just a target for us; it is an operational commitment,” said realme Bangladesh After-Sales Operations Manager Md Al-Mamun Biswas.
“We measure the time from when a customer submits the device until it is returned. Our goal is not only repairing the phone but also respecting the customer’s time,” he added.
Customers have begun experiencing the faster repair process, according to the company.
One customer visiting a service centre in Dhaka with a display issue said he expected the repair to take several days, but the device was repaired and returned within about 50 minutes.
The company said the one-hour repair standard has been introduced across authorised realme service centres nationwide.
The initiative aims to strengthen customer satisfaction while improving after-sales service standards in Bangladesh’s smartphone market.
