A mild earthquake shook Sylhet on Thursday afternoon, marking the second time the region has experienced seismic activity within a ten-day period.
The tremor, which occurred at 12:46 pm, measured 4.1 on the Richter scale.
Shah Md Sajib Hossain, assistant meteorologist at the Sylhet Weather Office, confirmed the details of the earthquake.
He stated that the epicentre was located in Chhatak Upazila, around 187 kilometres north-east of the capital, Dhaka.
Earlier, another mild earthquake with a magnitude of 4.0 was felt across Sylhet at 5:32am on 10 February.
