The Department of Government Transport has prepared 50 vehicles and assigned drivers for members of the newly formed BNP government’s cabinet.
The Cabinet Division was informed of the arrangement in a letter signed on Tuesday by Department of Government Transport Deputy Director Md Nazmul Hussain Khan.
The fleet includes 30 ‘Camry’ and 20 ‘Lancer’ model cars, with one driver assigned to each vehicle.
The names and mobile numbers of the drivers have been registered with the relevant department.
Under a government directive, all assigned drivers were instructed to report to the Deputy Secretary of the Government Formation and Protocol Branch of the Cabinet Division by Tuesday morning.
Copies of the order have been forwarded to the Cabinet Secretary, the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, and other relevant offices to complete the necessary arrangements.
