Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited appointed Md Ahteshamul Haque Khan as managing director and chief executive officer on 7 February, the bank said in press release.
Before the appointment, Khan served as deputy managing director and chief business officer for about six years and earlier held the role of chief operating officer at the bank.
He previously managed several key branches of Dutch-Bangla Bank, including the local office, after joining the lender in 2003.
Khan began his banking career as assistant manager on probation at Basic Bank in 1995 and has more than 30 years of experience in the sector.
He holds a BSc Honours and an MSc in economics from Jahangirnagar University.
