Hajj flights from Bangladesh to Saudi Arabia will begin on 18 April, the Religious Affairs Ministry said.
All Hajj agencies and airlines must strictly comply with directives issued by the Saudi government and the Hajj Package and Guidelines 2026, according to the ministry.
In letters sent to Hajj agency owners and the three airlines responsible for transporting pilgrims, the ministry outlined detailed operational instructions.
The letters said flights carrying pilgrims for Hajj 1447 Hijri (2026) will start operating on 18 April, while the Hajj is expected to be observed on 26 May.
Under Saudi government instructions, pilgrims registered under the same service company must travel to Saudi Arabia on the same flight.
The ministry also said that under the Hajj Package and Guidelines 2026, at least 20 per cent of an agency’s total pilgrims must be sent during the middle phase of the pre-Hajj flight schedule.
The remaining pilgrims must be transported during the first and last phases, with 30 to 50 per cent allocated to each phase.
However, no agency will be allowed to issue less than 30 per cent or more than 50 per cent of tickets in either the first or last phase of the pre-Hajj flights.
The ministry asked the concerned agencies and airlines to take necessary steps to ensure that pilgrims under the same service company travel together and that ticket issuance strictly follows the prescribed guidelines.
