AkijBashir Group has entered the electrical wire and cable industry with the launch of its new brand, AkijBashir Cables, introducing Bangladesh’s first 3-layer insulated cable manufactured using advanced technology.
The newly launched cables are made of pure copper and feature 3-layer insulation designed to provide enhanced protection and heat resistance up to 105 degrees Celsius. The brand was formally launched last Thursday, at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center (BCFCC) in Dhaka in the presence of industry professionals, business partners, trade leaders, and other key stakeholders, according to a press release.
The event marked a significant addition to Bangladesh’s growing electrical wire and cable sector. AkijBashir Cables has started operations with 32 showrooms across the country, ensuring nationwide availability from the outset.
Launched with the tagline “Confidence Within,” the brand underscores its focus on safety, reliability, and long-term performance.
The brand was officially unveiled by Mohammod Khourshed Alam, Chief Operating Officer, AkijBashir Group, in the presence of the group’s top management, including Helal Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director, Mohammad Omar Faruke, Head of Business – Cable Operations, along with other senior officials.
Speaking at the event, Mohammod Khourshed Alam said that, backed by AkijBashir Group’s long-standing credibility and advanced manufacturing capabilities, AkijBashir Cables has entered the market with a comprehensive, quality-driven portfolio of electrical wires and power cables catering to residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
