Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir has announced its Dhaka University (DU) unit committee for the 2026 session.
Mohammad Mohiuddin Khan has been elected president. Ashikur Rahman will serve as secretary, while Mohammad Sajjad Hossain Khan has been appointed organisational secretary general.
The organisation announced the committee after a member assembly held at the Shaheed Mahbubur Rahman Auditorium on Monday morning.
In a press release, Chhatra Shibir said members elected the unit president through a direct secret ballot.
Central President Nurul Islam declared Mohammad Mohiuddin Khan elected after counting the votes. He later administered the oath of office to the newly elected president.
According to the release, President Mohiuddin nominated Ashikur Rahman as secretary and Mohammad Sajjad Hossain Khan as organisational secretary. The nominations followed the organisation’s constitutional process and consultations with members.
Central HRM Secretary Saidul Islam moderated the member assembly.
Central Publication Secretary and Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Vice President Shadik Kayem attended the programme as a special guest.
The event ended with a special prayer session.
