TikTok and the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) on Monday announced a year-long partnership, naming the short-video platform as the official Entertainment Partner of the federation.

Under the collaboration, TikTok will serve as a central digital platform for BFF content over the next 12 months, aiming to expand the reach of Bangladeshi football at home and abroad through short-form video, creator engagement and fan participation, the organisations said in a press release.

Football remains one of the most followed sports in Bangladesh, with growing interest in men’s, women’s and youth competitions, while younger audiences are increasingly consuming sports content through mobile-first platforms.

As part of the partnership, fans will have access to match highlights, behind-the-scenes content, player stories, fan reactions and creator-led football culture across BFF activities through an always-on content strategy.

The programme will be supported by activations around key matches and moments, creator collaborations, hashtag challenges and push notifications to drive engagement throughout the season.

“TikTok is where sports fandom comes alive through creativity, culture and community,” said TikTok Content Operations Lead for South Asia Umais Naveed.

“We are excited to work with BFF to build an always-on content ecosystem, powered by creators and fans, that showcases the spirit of Bangladeshi football locally and globally,” he added.

“This partnership with TikTok is a major step in bringing Bangladeshi football closer to fans beyond match days,” said Bangladesh Football Federation Vice President Fahad Karim.

“We want supporters to stay connected with the game beyond the 90 minutes and strengthen interest across men’s and women’s football,” he added.

The partnership aims to position TikTok as a key platform for football-related entertainment linked to BFF, covering national teams, youth competitions, domestic tournaments, international fixtures, training camps and special football events.

Fans will be able to follow official BFF content on TikTok throughout the year for highlights, exclusive access and community-focused activities tied to major fixtures and events, the press release said.
