BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman has gone to Evercare Hospital to see his mother, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
Tarique reached Evercare at around 9:40pm, according to the BNP Media Cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan.
The BNP chairperson was admitted to the Evercare Hospital in Dhaka on 23 November. Tests conducted three days later revealed a lung infection, after which she was moved to the Critical Care Unit on 27 November.
A medical board was formed with local and foreign physicians under the leadership of Professor Shahabuddin Talukder. According to Dr Zahid, Tarique Rahman and his wife Zubaida Rahman are constantly supervising Khaleda Zia’s treatment.
Earlier, on 19 December, her physician Dr AZM Zahid Hossain said that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s health remains critical, although she is responding to treatment.
