Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL), in partnership with the Economic Relations Division (ERD), recognised the academic achievements of 10 high-performing students at a scholarship award ceremony held at the NEC Auditorium on Monday.
The recipients, children of ERD employees, earned the awards based on their exceptional results in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations. The initiative is part of IDCOL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, aimed at supporting promising students and promoting academic excellence.
Secretary of the Economic Relations Division and Chairman of IDCOL Md Shahriar Kader Siddiky attended the event as Chief Guest and presented certificates and scholarship funds to the students. In his speech, he praised IDCOL for its support and stressed the importance of education in building the country’s future.
CEO of IDCOL Alamgir Morshed reaffirmed the company’s dedication to CSR, stating that IDCOL is committed to nurturing young talent and encouraging excellence in education to help shape responsible citizens who contribute to society.
The ceremony was chaired by Additional Secretary (World Bank Wing) at ERD and Director at IDCOL Mirana Mahrukh. Other attendees included Additional Secretary (Administration, ICT and Middle East Wing), ERD Dr Mohammad Mizanur Rahman; Joint Secretary, ERD Md Ruhul Amin; and Chief Investment Officer, IDCOL Nazmul Haque alongside senior officials from both organisations.
IDCOL continues to promote educational advancement and leadership development through such initiatives, in line with its broader CSR objectives.
