Dhaka University’s Teachers-Student Centre (TSC) became the centre of jubilation after the International Crimes Tribunal announced the death sentence for former prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
Students and public gathered on the TSC promises, distributing sweets and chanting slogans marking the verdict, including “Breaking news, Hasina sentenced to death” and “Hasina’s time is over, Bangladesh will have sweets.”
The festive atmosphere is expected to continue with a celebratory procession set to begin shortly, as participants express their reactions to the landmark verdict.
