Ninety-six apprentice Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) have been transferred to different units and districts across the country for six months of practical training.
The order was issued through a notification signed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam on Tuesday. The notification mentioned that the order will take effect immediately.
The notification stated that this training programme is being implemented in accordance with Regulation-790 of PRB Volume-1, and that the Election Commission (EC) Secretariat and the Ministry of Home Affairs have provided their consent on the matter.
The apprentice ASPs will be able to draw their salaries and allowances from the units to which they have been transferred.
Previously, these 96 ASPs completed a one-year basic training course at the Bangladesh Police Academy in Sardah, Rajshahi.
