Four people died in a collision between a goods-laden truck and a pickup van in Sakhipur, Tangail.
Sakhipur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Helal Uddin confirmed the matter. The accident occurred around 4am on Tuesday. The deceased have been identified as Noornabi, 65, Rafiqul, 18, Sagor, 22, and Suman, 26.
According to police and local sources, the accident took place when a poultry-laden pickup van struck the back of a truck loaded with bamboo. All four victims, who were passengers of the pickup van, died on the spot.
OC Helal said the bodies have been brought to the police station, and the families of the victims are being contacted. The bodies will be handed over to the families after legal procedures.
