Gold prices have increased in the domestic market, with new rates coming into effect on Friday. Under the updated pricing, including VAT, the highest quality 22-carat gold per bhori has been fixed at Tk2,31,297.
According to the new breakdown, 21-carat gold is priced at Tk2,20,916 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk1,89,715 per bhori, and gold under the traditional method at Tk1,54,956 per bhori.
Prior to this increase, gold prices in the domestic market were reduced on Monday.
At that time, including VAT, the price per bhori stood at Tk2,29,081 for 22-carat gold, Tk2,18,816 for 21-carat gold, Tk1,87,907 for 18-carat gold, and Tk1,53,498 for traditional method gold.
With this latest revision, gold prices in the domestic market have been adjusted 121 times so far this year.
Of these adjustments, prices were increased 59 times and reduced 62 times.
In comparison, gold prices were adjusted to a total of 93 times in 2025, during which prices were raised 64 times and lowered 29 times.
