Another person has died from dengue in the past 24 hours, while 23 individuals were hospitalised across the country due to the virus.

This update was provided today in a press release from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

According to the release, the hospitalised dengue patients in the last 24 hours include three from Barishal Division, three from Chattogram Division, seven from Dhaka Division, two from Dhaka North City Corporation, two from Dhaka South City Corporation, four from Khulna Division, and two from Mymensingh Division (outside city corporation areas).

During this period, 30 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recoveries this year to 1,135.

So far this year, 1,226 people have been infected with dengue, of which 64% are male and 36% are female. A total of four people have died from the disease this year.

In 2025, from January 1 to December 31, 102,861 dengue cases were reported, with 413 fatalities. In 2024, the number of dengue infections reached 101,214.
