A total of 369,919 expatriate Bangladeshis have so far enrolled via the “Postal Vote BD” application to participate in the upcoming 13th national election and referendum.

Election Commission (EC) published the updated statistics on its official website on Sunday. Data from the EC portal shows that among the registered expatriate voters, 3,44,907 are male and 25,012 are female.

Saudi Arabia leads in registrations with 1,01,953 enrolments. The Qatar follows with 33,944, then Malaysia with 24,088, the United Arab Emirates with 22,240, United States with 21,594, Oman with 19,383, Singapore with 16,314.

EC has called on expatriates to ensure they submit full and correct postal addresses during registration, warning that ballot papers will be undeliverable if address information is insufficient.

The initial deadline for expatriate voter registration, which was 18 December, has also been extended to 25 December, as confirmed by EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed.
