Twenty-four corporate leaders were recognised for their leadership at the Mutual Trust Bank PLC Presents 4th Bangladesh C-Suite Awards, powered by American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) and United Group, according to a press release.
The gala, organised by Bangladesh Brand Forum (BBF), was held on Saturday in the capital and brought together C-suite executives, boardroom leaders, founders and institutional decision-makers from across the country.
“The strength of a nation lies in the quality of its leadership,” said BBF Founder and Managing Director Shariful Islam, adding that the country now needs leaders who can look beyond profit, act with purpose and uphold integrity while driving growth.
He said the C-Suite Awards aim to elevate leadership standards across key sectors of the economy.
City Bank Managing Director and CEO Mashrur Arefin was named CEO or MD of the Year in the financial sector, said the release. PRAN-RFL Group Deputy Managing Director AKM Moinul Islam and Nestlé Bangladesh Director ASM Hafizul Islam jointly won the Chief Business Officer or Business Director of the Year award.
Grameenphone (GP) Chief Marketing Officer Farha Naz Zaman and Meghna Group of Industries (MGI) Head of Group Brand Marketing Kazi Md Mohiuddin received the Chief Marketing Officer or Marketing Director of the Year award.
Walton Hi-Tech Industries Senior Executive Director Mohammad Firoj Alam was named Chief Commercial Officer or Sales Director of the Year. IPDC Finance Managing Director Rizwan Dawood Shams won CEO or MD of the Year for companies with annual revenue between $100 million and $499 million.
Transcom Director and Corporate Head of HR Shabbir Ali and Akij Bashir Group (ABG) Director for Group HR, Admin and Compliance Dilruba Sharmin Khan received the Chief Human Resource Officer or HR Director of the Year award.
GP Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Tanveer Mohammad received the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer or CA Director of the Year award.
Walton Micro-Tech Corporation Chief Executive Officer Nishat Tasnim Shuchi was named CEO or MD of the Year for companies with annual revenue below $100 million. Transcom Head of Technology Arif Uz Zaman won the Chief Technology Officer or Technology Director of the Year award.
ABG Chief Operating Officer Md Mofijul Hossain Iraz received the Chief Operations Officer or Operations Director of the Year award. Electro Mart Deputy Managing Director Md Nurul Afser was honoured as CEO or MD of the Year in the electronics category.
Urmi Group Managing Director Asif Ashraf received the CEO or MD award in the ready-made garments category. MGI Director Tahmina Mostafa was recognised in the fast-moving consumer goods category.
The Chief Finance Officer or Finance Director of the Year award went to PRAN-RFL Group Director of Finance Uzma Chowdhury and bKash Chief Financial Officer Moinuddin Mohammed Rahgir. PRAN-RFL Group Chief Supply Chain Officer Md Tanzir Helal and Reckitt Supply Director for the Bangladesh–Sri Lanka Cluster Mohammed Zia Uddin jointly received the Chief Supply Chain Officer or Supply Chain Director of the Year award.
Keeron Chief Operating Officer Md Tajdin Hassan received the Transitional C-Suite of the Year award. ACI Managing Director Arif Dowla won the Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Team Group Deputy Managing Director Abdullah Hil Rakib received the Luminary Award for Sustainable Innovation. Mutual Trust Bank Managing Director and CEO Syed Mahbubur Rahman received the Positive Impact Leadership Award.
