BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman spent most of Tuesday amidst a busy schedule following the formal conclusion of election campaigning, during which he delivered speeches at 41 rallies over the course of nine days.

He spoke with leaders, activists, and candidates across the country over the phone, inquired about the situation in various areas, and also spoke with foreign journalists. He even went to the party office in Gulshan to attend to organisational work.

Details regarding the BNP chairman’s activities was provided in the afternoon by BNP Media Cell member Atiqur Rahman Ruman.

He said, “The chairperson is currently working at the office in Gulshan. Since morning, he has been inquiring about the well-being of candidates across the country. He has also spoken directly with leaders and activists. He has taken stock of the overall environment across the nation.”

Additionally, the chairperson’s message was sent across the country via SMS and voice calls.

In the evening, Tarique also attended an interaction event with foreign journalists at a hotel in Banani.

In the upcoming parliamentary election, BNP is contesting in 291 seats. In the remaining nine seats, BNP has reached seat-sharing agreements with like-minded parties.

Tarique Rahman began his election campaign from Alia Madrasah in Sylhet on 22 January. Since then, he has spoken at a total of 41 election rallies across the country over the course of nine days.
