At least 15 students were injured in a clash between two groups at Government Titumir College over a minor dispute, authorities said.
Seven of the injured are in serious condition and have been admitted to nearby hospitals.
The incident began on campus around noon on Wednesday and later spread to the Shaheed Mamun Student Dormitory, where doors and windows were damaged during the scuffle.

In response, the college administration has formed a three-member inquiry committee to investigate the matter. The committee is expected to submit its report within seven working days.
Meanwhile, Titumir College unit of Chhatra Dal has suspended the organisational post of joint conveners Arif Molla, Shihab Uddin Siam, and Zihad Howlader.
Two members, Zahidul Islam Nahid and Jalil Adik, have been expelled from the organization.
