Detective Branch (DB) police have detained four individuals and seized 1,400 litres of diesel during an operation in Noakhali.
District DB Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Mohin Uddin confirmed the matter in a press release on Saturday.
According to the press release, acting on a tip-off, police conducted an operation in the Udoy Sadhur Hat area of Charmatua Union, where Abdul Malek Oil Store had illegally stockpiled 1,400 litres of diesel.
The suspects were detained at around 11:40pm. Police also seized a red fuel tanker during the raid.
OC Md Mohin said the process of filing a case against the detainees under the Special Powers Act at Sudharam Model Police Station is underway.
