The 13th Bangladesh Yarn, Fabrics and Accessories Show 2026, held concurrently with the Bangladesh TEXCHEM Expo 2026, commenced today at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB).
The four-day international trade shows bring together global suppliers of yarn, fabrics, garment accessories, and textile chemicals, offering Bangladesh’s RMG sector an opportunity to explore sourcing options and connect directly with international suppliers, reads a press release.
Organised by ASK Trade and Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, this 13th edition features participation from more than 150 local and international companies showcasing their latest products and collections of yarn, fabrics, accessories, and textile chemicals to the RMG sector of Bangladesh.
The event is targeted at garment manufacturers and exporters, buying houses, and fabric processors, enabling them to connect with international suppliers and source their requirements locally.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) President Mohammad Hatem as the chief guest.
The event was also honoured by the presence BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Engr Ayub Nabi Khan, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Director Kazi Mizanur Rahman, Bangladesh Garments Accessories and Packaging Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) President Md Shahriar.
Also present were Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI) Vice President Masud Ali Khan, and Bangladesh Merchandisers and Suppliers Association (BMSA) President Mehedi Hasan Bhuiyan, as guests of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, BKMEA President Mohammad Hatem emphasised that government policy support is extremely important for boosting investment and industrial growth in the country.
“Alongside attracting foreign investment, it is also necessary to ensure a favourable environment to retain existing investors in the country,” Hatem said. He urged the government to reduce the complexities of the certification process to make it simpler and faster, pointing out that retaining existing investors will further increase opportunities for new investment and employment.
He added that the exhibition provides domestic entrepreneurs with the opportunity to connect directly with foreign suppliers, while introducing them to various innovative technologies that will contribute to the growth of local industries.
Highlighting the significance of the exhibition, ASK Trade and Exhibitions Pvt Ltd Managing Director Tipu Sultan Bhuiyan said new technologies and innovative fabric sourcing are essential for the growth and development of the apparel sector.
“Our key objective is to bring international suppliers closer to local exporters and manufacturers,” Bhuiyan said. He added that the 13th edition of the International Yarn, Fabrics and Accessories Show, held concurrently with the Bangladesh TEXCHEM show with a special pavilion from CHEMEXCIL India, is aimed at creating greater sourcing and business opportunities for the industry.
A wide range of yarns for woven and knitted garments, blended yarns, and various types of fabrics are on display at the show, including wool and suit fabrics, printed fabrics, sports fabrics, and home fabrics. A variety of garment accessories, along with modern processing technologies such as embroidery and hot stamping, are also showcased.
The show is open to all business visitors daily between 11am and 7pm.
