Students will have easier access to higher education financing under a partnership between Community Bank Bangladesh and SplitPay Bangladesh, aimed at reducing financial barriers to education and broadening access to educational financing.
The two organisations signed a memorandum of understanding in Dhaka on Thursday to jointly expand access to innovative student financing solutions, said a press release.
Community Bank plans to introduce a dedicated “Student Financing Facility” to help eligible students meet education-related expenses, including tuition and admission fees, hostel and accommodation costs, examination fees and other approved academic expenditures.
The initiative reflects Community Bank’s commitment to financial inclusion, responsible lending and digital innovation.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Community Bank Managing Director Mohammed Emtiaz Uddin and SplitPay Managing Director Jubair Mahmud Pulock.
Senior officials from both organisations, along with representatives from North South University and Independent University, Bangladesh, attended the signing.
Representatives of both institutions expressed optimism that the partnership would reduce financial barriers to higher education, broaden access to educational financing, and create greater opportunities for students and their families.
