The Home Ministry has transferred 13 police officials holding the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP). Meanwhile, transfer orders for two SPs currently serving in the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) and the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have been revoked.
The notification, issued on Sunday by the Police-1 Wing of the ministry, confirmed the reshuffle.
According to the order, SM Hasanul Zahid, SP of the Special Branch (SB), has been transferred to Sardah, Rajshahi. Mohammad Salah Uddin Talukder, SP of PBI, has been reassigned to the Mymensingh Range Police. AFM Al Kibria, SP of Tangail Police Training Centre (PTC), has been posted as SP of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Abu Sayem Pradhan, Commandant of Gaibandha, has been transferred as SP of Rangpur PTC.
DMP Deputy Commissioner Shafiqul Islam has been appointed as AIG at Police Headquarters. Mohammad Shafi Iqbal, SP of Police Staff College, has been transferred to CID as SP. PBI SP Mohammad Kamal Hossain will now serve at the Gaibandha In-Service Centre, while APBn SP Ukya Sing has been transferred to PBI as SP.
Supernumerary SP Sanatan Chakraborty of Rangpur Range Police has been posted to Rangpur Metropolitan area. Industrial Police SP Mohammad Fakhruzzaman Jewel has been made SP of Sherpur In-Service Centre, and Police Headquarters SP Mohammad Ismail Hussain has been appointed as AIG at the same office.
On the other hand, the transfer orders for PBI SP Md Abu Yusuf and RAB SP Zahidur Rahman to Police Headquarters have been cancelled.
The ministry stated that the order, issued in public interest, takes immediate effect.
