Detectives arrested three people and seized 1,200 litres of illegally stored petrol along with a pickup van during a raid in Noakhali.
The arrests were made Wednesday evening at a house in Lakshmi Narayanpur area of Ward No. 3 under Noakhali municipality, said Additional Superintendent of Police Abu Taiyeb Md Arif Hossain.
The detainees are Md Musfiqur Rahman Mahi, 19, Mahmudul Hasan, 26, and Md Manzur Alam, 53.
A case is being filed at Sudharam Model Police Station. Drives against illegal storage and trading of flammable substances will continue, Abu Taiyeb added.
