The government has appointed new Deputy Commissioners (DCs) in 11 districts across the country.
The districts are Rajshahi, Chuadanga, Khulna, Madaripur, Brahmanbaria, Chandpur, Habiganj, Narsingdi, Meherpur, Lalmonirhat and Bandarban.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification in this regard on Sunday.
According to the notification, Ministry of Public Administration Deputy Secretary Kazi Shahidul Islam has been posted as DC of Rajshahi, while Ministry of Home Affairs Deputy Secretary Lutfun Nahar has been appointed DC of Chuadanga.
Secondary and Higher Education Division Deputy Secretary Miju Hara Jannat has been made DC of Khulna, and Finance Division Deputy Secretary Marzina Akter has been posted to Madaripur.
Government Printing Press Deputy Secretary Md Abu Sayeed has been appointed DC of Brahmanbaria, while Energy and Mineral Resources Division Deputy Secretary Ahmed Ziaur Rahman has been made DC of Chandpur.
Cabinet Division Deputy Secretary GM Sarfaraz has been made DC of Habiganj, and Ministry of Labour and Employment Deputy Secretary Israt Jahan Keya has been appointed DC of Narsingdi.
Ministry of Cultural Affairs Deputy Secretary Shilpi Rani Roy has been made DC of Meherpur, while Bangladesh Power Development Board Deputy Secretary Md Rashedul Haque Pradhan has been appointed DC of Lalmonirhat.
Land Management Automation Project Deputy Project Director (Deputy Secretary) Md Saniul Ferdous has been appointed DC of Bandarban.
The order will take effect immediately, the notification added.
